TESDA Lanao del Norte Provincial Director Norayah A. Acas, JD., attended the Provincial School Board Meeting last October 23, 2023 at the Provincial Capitol in Tubod, Lanao del Norte. The presence of PD Acas was been asked by the good Governor to enlighten the board on the JDVP Programs being implemented by the DepEd and the different TVIs of the province.
PD Acas briefly discussed and presented the TEDSA’s mandate, vision, mission, values statement and the Lanao del Norte Provincial Overview. Likewise, she explained the importance of the program registration and the PTCACs’ especially on the conduct of competency assessment to the K12 students in the province. She provided the board on the Summary of K12 Client who were assessed as of October 2023.
The JDVP in TESDA places emphasis on thorough competency assessment to ensure that individuals acquire and demonstrate the skills necessary for their chosen occupation. By aligning assessments with industry-approved standards, the program enhances the credibility and market value of TESDA graduates, and facilitates their smooth transition into the workforce.
Furthermore, PD Acas emphasized the the Provincial Office will formally request the documentary credentials (NC, TM, NTTC) of the trainer responsible for conducting the TVL-Track Training and the said requirements shall be impose during the submission of applications for national assessment from Senior High applicants. The PO will also diligently maintain a comprehensive monitoring record on senior high applicants participating in the JDVP Program.
